The ceramic workshop

In the 2002-2023 school year, the ceramic workshop participants of the Italian Community “Fulvio Tomizza”, lead by prof. Vesna Rakić De Martin during the first part of the workshop, and then by Alica Maurel during the second part, made various pieces of ceramic kitchenware and ornaments inspired by sea themes. The ancient art of pottery is a living cultural heritage that has basically remained unchanged over centuries.

The old potters’ art combined with the fishing tradition of our region and spiced up by the imagination and creativity of the workshop participants, has resulted in fanciful and mundane ceramic objects that can be seen at the exhibition at MMC POU “Ante Babić” from the 15th June until the 30th July 2023.
